My Story

How I found animal communication.

My story begins in 1997 in Boulder, Colorado. I met a Border Collie named Hope who would forever change the way I experienced love from an animal.  I rescued Hope from an abusive breeder. I believe she developed PTSD as a result of the abuse she endured the first nine months of her life. Hope was highly sensitive and extremely skittish; I had to be very calm and present to connect with her. If I was anxious or rushed, she would feel it.  I rescued Hope, but I believe she rescued me, too. Helping her meant that I also had to help myself.  Hope taught me so much about intuitive communication. I learned that communication is more than words and that love heals. Those lessons continue to resonate with me today as I work with animals.

In addition to being a trained animal communicator, I am a licensed acupuncturist and massage therapist with a strong foundation in energy healing work, including reiki and healing touch. I received my bachelor’s degree in contemplative psychology from Naropa University in 1995 and went on to earn a master’s degree in Oriental medicine from Southwest Acupuncture College in 2001. In 2005, I moved to Maui to attend the Maui School of Therapeutic Massage. The following year, I joined the team of wellness experts at the Four Seasons Resort Maui, and in 2009, helped launch the resort’s acupuncture program.

In 2011, I wanted to deepen my meditation and further explore my intuitive and psychic senses, so I began studying intuitive healing with Deborah Kremins. This opened my eyes to a new way of communicating and using my senses. I came to fully understand how connected we are—humans, animals, and plants.

Like so many others, the COVID-19 pandemic forced me to put my career on hold in 2020. I decided to take advantage of the unexpected downtime: I dove deeper into meditation and my psychic and mediumship studies. I also completed a master program studying animal communication with biologist and animal communicator Marta Williams. It was a life-changing program that renewed my passion for communicating intuitively with animals.
